How Much Does It Cost to Build a Website with ChatGPT, GitHub, and Cloudflare?

Separate one-time purchases, renewals, usage, and your time before choosing a website workflow.

There is no single price for a website built with ChatGPT, GitHub, and Cloudflare. Source storage and static hosting can fit free plans, while a domain, suitable AI access, business email, integrations, usage, and your maintenance time may add costs. The Colby Technologies website-building guide is a separate $99.99 USD one-time digital purchase.

This budget is for a small static business website. Customer accounts, ecommerce, complex booking, databases, and custom applications need a separate feature and operating-cost review. Provider information below was checked October 30, 2026; confirm the current plan, currency, taxes, renewal terms, and usage limits before purchasing.

Domain and email are different purchases

A domain is the name people use to reach the website; registering it does not automatically buy a website or a business mailbox. Compare the exact name and extension at your registrar. For example, Cloudflare Registrar shows registration, transfer, and renewal pricing, but the amount depends on the domain.

Budget for the renewal price, not only a temporary promotion. Keep registration in an account the business can recover and record the renewal responsibility. For a business mailbox, compare the number of actual users and check whether an existing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace subscription already covers the need.

Our domain, hosting, and business email explainer maps those accounts. Changing website hosts should not accidentally cancel or disconnect working email.

Choose AI access for the work you will actually do

Consider both the build month and later maintenance. Check current ChatGPT plans and the available coding tools in your account. Do not assume every chat session can write project files, use a repository, or finish the build within a free allowance.

For a current reference point, ChatGPT Plus is listed at $20 per month; that does not mean it is the only suitable option or that every task is unlimited. The guide uses an AI coding workflow with repository write access. Plan limits and extra usage can affect how much work you can complete. If you choose an API-based implementation or add an AI feature to your website, review its separate usage pricing; buying a chat subscription does not make every API call part of that subscription.

Already paying for a suitable plan? Record its incremental project cost separately from the full subscription you use for other work. If you subscribe specifically for the website, include the number of months you expect to need it and remember future edits.

What “free GitHub and Cloudflare” actually covers

GitHub Free supports public and private source repositories. You do not need a paid repository plan simply to keep an ordinary project's source private. Advanced collaboration controls and usage beyond allowances can change the decision. GitHub storing the code is distinct from GitHub Pages hosting; this workflow publishes through Cloudflare.

Cloudflare Pages static asset requests are free and unlimited. That does not mean every connected service is unlimited or free. The Pages Free plan currently allows 500 builds per month and has limits such as file count and asset size.

A contact-form endpoint or another Pages Function uses Workers allowances and pricing. The free allowance is shared with Workers usage, so inspect the account's actual workload. Databases, storage, paid features, and third-party integrations need their own budget line. A small static site may fit free hosting allowances, but its complete operating cost depends on its features.

Form delivery needs an allowance and a working inbox

Resend's transactional pricing currently includes a Free plan with 3,000 emails per month and a 100-email daily limit. The listed Pro plan is $20 per month for 50,000 emails, with additional usage priced separately. Check your message volume and current terms rather than assuming every form can run free forever.

An email API used to deliver form messages is a different role from the everyday mailbox where you read and reply to customers. Count all messages the implementation sends, including confirmations, and allow for spam or unexpected traffic. Configure appropriate protections and test that delivery reaches its destination. See the static website contact-form guide.

Build your own first-year budget

Use the exact quotes from your chosen providers. A practical worksheet is:

  1. One-time items: guide purchase, any setup help, and purchased artwork or assets.
  2. Annual items: domain registration and other annually billed services at the price actually due.
  3. Monthly items: AI access, mailboxes, management, and integrations multiplied by the months used.
  4. Variable items: expected function, email, storage, or transaction usage and any applicable overages.
  5. Owner time: building, reviewing content, testing, updates, and resolving failures.

First-year cash cost = one-time purchases + annual charges + monthly charges for the months used + usage charges + applicable taxes. For the next-year budget, remove purchases that truly happen once and replace promotional prices with renewals. Avoid counting the same subscription twice if it serves several business purposes.
